FAQ

  • Can you teach lessons at my nearby HOA or private pool?
Yes! We currently offer services at open HOA and private pools in STL. Clients are responsible for providing address and access for swim instructor into HOA/private pools 5 minutes before scheduled lesson time. Please fill out the "Swimmer Info Form" on our Form page to place request for your desired pool location and we will be in contact on what we can work out.
  • Can you teach lessons in different languages?
Rachel Winder is a beginner level in Portuguese and Spanish, but don't let that stop you! Please fill out the "Swimmer Info Form" and specify there what your lesson language preference is and we can see what accomodations we can make for you!
  • Can you teach more than one child at a time?
No, we offer private lessons so each swimmer can get the full attention of the instructor. Depending on lesson availability, you may be able to book lessons back to back for your children.
  • How many lessons would you recommend?
It depends the client's experience level and progression rate. We would recommend at least 4 lessons to start and then go from there.
  • What is the youngest age you teach?
We can teach as young as the client's parents would like! We do offer infant survival lessons, however our current instructors do not have much experience teaching this type of lesson. We are currently learning and practicing how to most effectively teach infants through researched repetitive drills. We encourage infant survival lessons because it is a great way to set your child on the path of practicing great water safety. Parents need to be prepared for crying and watching the instructors push the baby's limits in order to successfully teach the life saving skills. Please fill out our "Swimmer Info Form" so we are aware of what level your swimmer is at. Go ahead and give us a try by booking one lesson to see if our teaching style meets you and your infant's needs!
